ABOUT

Hello, and welcome to my "ABOUT" page!

Pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable - it’s wonderful to have you here.

My name is Amelia and I have the classic artsy trait of doing a variety of things which makes answering the question "What do you do?" a little bit less straightforward.

As you would have seen on the homepage, the three "roles" I've landed upon are creative, administrator and facilitator. Basically, what this means is that I love both the strategic and delivery side of creative projects - my happy places are both independently working on spreadsheets and working more closely in person - be that one-to-one with clients or in a busy team. In the words of the great Hannah Montana - you get the best of both worlds.

Amelia is crouched down smiling at the camera in a patch of daffodils. She is a white woman in her twenties and is smiling broadly with her teeth showing. She is wearing a light yellow fluffy hat, teal jacket and a yellow and teal scarf to match. She also has two daffodil shapes painted on her face on the outer corners of each eye.

Amelia is sat at a circular table facing a seated white woman who has long blonde hair and pink trousers. They are smiling at one another and on the table there are two glasses, notebooks and a vase of fresh flowers.

I have been exceptionally lucky to have had experience in diverse creative spaces and as my time on earth continues, I find myself becoming increasingly passionate about accessibility. Or in other words, doing things that remove barriers that shouldn't be there in the first place.

I am firmly of the opinion that we need to break down rigid structures that don't leave any space for flexibly. Ultimately, we're all different and we all need different things. Simples!

"How can I help you?" Amelia

For me, there are three core values that make me - me:

  1. Expressiveness: I'm an enthusiastic & ambitious bean and whole-heartedly want to make sure that people I work with feel they can authentically expressive themselves.

  2. Uniqueness: As I said, we're all different and what a relief that is! If we were all the same how boring would life be?!

  3. Playfulness: If you've read up to this point you can probably tell that I don't take myself too seriously. Being playful is incredibly important to me - silliness, embracing the cringey and being punderful.

Lastly, not so much a core value but more of an absolute priority, if there is opportunity to work with someone with ownership or access to a canine friend you must fill in the contact form. Ta muchly!

(Ok you got me...this may be photoshopped...but you better believe I will get a suit one day!)
